About:
Design meets durability. Ceramic tiles are one of the most common materials with a high variety of selections. Durable, stain-resistant, scratch-resistant, and simple to clean. Composed of natural clays, it also has a low water absorption rate, making it a great choice for any space.
Cleaning for different glazes:
Glazed ceramic tiles- should be cleaned routinely with an all-purpose, household cleaner. The product should also be grout joint cleaning compatible. Use a cotton mop, cloth, or sponge to agitate cleaner, getting rid of soap scum, hard water buildup, and mildew. Rinse with clean water and dry thoroughly. It is best to avoid harsh cleaners in order to preserve the glaze of tile. Also avoid acids which breakdown grout, and ammonia that can discolor the grout.
Bleach is not a recommended cleaner for ceramic tile. While it will not harm the tile itself (excluding some handmade materials), it will deteriorate the grout over time.
Non-Glazed ceramic tiles- should have a neutral pH cleaner that is safe for regular cleanup. Neutral pH cleaners are better suited for grease stains, oils, spills from unglazed products. Make sure prduct used is also suitable for the grout.
